Tagger, Sionah. b. 1900, Jaffa, Israel. First woman artist born in Israel. Studies: 1920 Bezalel, Jerusalem, with sculptor Yosef Constant; 1924-25, 1930-31 with Lhote in Paris. Prize: 1937 Dizengoff Prize. 1948 Represented Israel,Venice Biennale. Daughter of founders of Tel Aviv. From 1947 lived in Safed. Died 1988.

Shmuel Tepler, Painter. b. 1918, Poland. Immigrated 1949. Studies: High School of Art, Vilna; Brera Academie, Milan, with Carlo Carrera. Prizes: 1961 Histadrut Prize; 1974 Gold Medal, UNESCO; 1975 Italy Prize. 1975 Accepted as member of Italian Academy. Lives in Tel Aviv.

Tevet, Nahum, Sculptor. b. 1946, Kibbutz Messilot, Israel. Studies: 1968-69 Avni Institute, Tel Aviv; 1969-71 with Raffi Lavie. Teaching: From 1980 Bezalel, Jerusalem. Prizes: 1984 Bank Discount Prize for a Young Israeli Artist, Tel Aviv Museum; 1986 Sandberg Prize for Israeli Art, Israel Museum, Jerusalem; 1990 Prize for Excellence in the Plastic Arts, America-Israel Cultural Foundation; 1991 Mendel Pundik Prize, Tel Aviv Museum; 1992 Minister of Education and Culture Prize.

Ticho Anna-הנא וכיט


Ticho, Anna, Painter. b. 1894, Brno, Czechoslovakia. Immigrated 1912. Married Dr. A. Ticho, renowned opthalmologist. Studies: 1906, Vienna. Prizes: 1964 Erest Prize for Painting and Sculpture, Jerusalem; 1975 Sandberg Prize for Israeli Art, Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Specialised in drawing landscapes of Jerusalem and surroundings. 1932 A founder of the New Bezalel School. 1970 Honoured as “A Worthy of Jerusalem”. Died 1980, Jerusalem. The Ticho’s home was bequeathed to the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, for use as a centre for art activities and for a permanent exhibition of Anna Ticho’s work.

Tumarkin Igael-לאגי ןיקרמוט


Tumarkin, Igal, Painter and Sculptor. b. 1933, Dresden, Germany. Immigrated 1935. Studies: 1954 with Rudi Lehman, Ein Hod. Prizes: 1968 Sandberg Prize, Israel Museum; 1998 Awarded the Sussman Prize, Yad Vashem, Jerusalem, but cancelled, subsequently the Sussman Foundation awarded the prize direct to Tumarkin. 1955-57 Worked as stage-designer for the “‎Berliner Ensemble” with Bertholdt Brecht. 1971 Lives in Jerusalem. Outdoor Sculptures: 1966 “Peare Memorial”, Hebron Road, Jerusalem; 1971 “Homage to Jerusalem”, Givat Shapira; 1973 “Challenge to the Sun”, Ramot Alon, Jerusalem; 1986 “Chichen Itzma”, Kiriat Menahem, Jerusalem; 1986 Pisgat Zeev, Jerusalem; 1992 “Jerusalem - Three Faiths”, Mount Scopus, Jerusalem.

Talila Shir-ריש הלילט


TALILA SHIR PAINTER A graduate of Haifa University in art, Talila has supplemented her skills with the finest painting instructors in Israel. In the past, her paintings depicted urban and naval scenes, in hyper realistic style. Presently, she explores the nude female form in her paintings, in an up-to-date naturalistic style in pencil and charcoal drawings, oil and acrylic painting. Talila exhibited in Beit Emanuel (formerly: The Ramt Gan Museum) and in numerous private exhibits.

Tatiana Feldman was born in 1969 in Vitebsk, USSR. Graduated from Vitebsk Art School in 1987 and studied at the Academy of Textile Design (Vitebsk). Lives in Israel from 1993.

Theo Tobiasse-סאיבוט ואת


Theo Tobiasse was born in Israel in 1927 and moved with his family to Paris in 1931. During the German occupation they survived by hiding in total isolation for two years. After the war Theo started a career as a graphic designer. Siunce 1961 he decided to concentrate on painting only. Over the years Tobiasse has held many exhibitions in the USA, European countries, and Japan, and his works, paintings, drawings and ceramic creations are in important private and public collections. His most recent exhibition was held at the museum of Saint Paul de Vance, France, in 1998.
