Abel Pann, (Fefferman), Painter. b. 1883, Latvia. Studies: 1898 Art School, Odessa; with Yehuda Pan, teacher of Chagall, Paris; 1903 Grande Chaumiere, Paris. Teaching: 1913 Bezalel, Jerusalem; 1920-24 Bezalel. 1895 Moved to Vilna and worked as lithographer. 1903 Went to Paris, exhibited in the Salons and became known as caricaturist. 1912 Met Boris Shatz who invited him to teach at Bezalel. 1914 Returned to Paris to settle his affairs, but prevented because of outbreak of war. 1916 Painted series “The Road of Tears”, drawings and lithographs of Russian pogroms. 1917 Went to U.S.A. where known as a Jewish artist. 1920 Returned to Israel. 1921 Imported a printing machine from Vienna and began printing illustrations of the Bible which he published in 1924. Died Jerusalem, 1963.

Ricki Fuch, Painter. b. 1950, Israel. Studies: 1976-80 Bezalel, Jerusalem; Hunter College, New York. Teaching: Kalisher High School, Tel Aviv; Visual Arts College, Beersheva; Levinski College, Tel Aviv. Prizes: 1976-80 Bezalel; 1978 America-Israel Cultural Foundation; 1980 Scholarship for Advanced Studies in Paris from the French Government.

Rachel Pariser, Jewellery Designer. b. 1937, Haifa. Studies: 1959-62 Bezalel, Jerusalem. Teaching: Bezalel, enamel department. Prizes: 1976 Distinction in competition of Arts and Crafts Centre of Export Institute, for set of brooch and earrings, enamel and gold; 1978 Certificate of Merit for collar of fine gold threads; 1979 Certificate of Merit for gold and diamond pendant. Lives in Jerusalem.

pichard bilan Born in Poland in 1946. Art studies in Jerusalem and Paris. Graduated from the Academy of Art and Design Bezalel, Jerusalem, and from the national superior School of Decorative Arts in Paris (Majored in visual communication and graphic arts). Received the "Sharet Foundation Scholarship (1973) and the French Government Scholarship for artistic creation (1974-1976). Collaborated on the creation of industrial models for the glass industry (1975).
