Ofri Marom-םורמ ירפוע

Ofri Marom The issue of a painting`s validity, especially when discussing abstract art, becomes predominantly relevant as part of the integral agenda so intensely occupying the intellectual and creative forefronts in recent years. Paradoxically, even though executed countless times, the abstract painting remains a functional aspect of western art located in the center-most field as a lively focal point for that presence expected to meet the demands of real existence. An abstract painting made today always evokes two alternative readings. One option is the authentic or primary version, with a production or investigation of the colorful material compositional process, while the other approach is a more self-aware method of manufacture with reflective citations and of hidden content serving as a learned response to the history of abstraction and the various ways paintings have questioned themselves over the years. These options which exist in most cases as mutually exclusive alternatives can in certain instances cohabit as if to establish a painting`s properties within the context of a dialectic premise. Ofri Marom`s artistic experience portrays a varied exposure singularly personal creations have proven of late to be her mark of consistent and original perseverance with works that link up to the most fascinating concurrent streams in contemporary painting. Ofri Marom`s paintings are based on simple drawing procedures that capture the essence of repetitive horizontal and vertical gestures to cover entire canvasses. Ofri employs a wide range of "low" and "high" materials including thick industrial paint and classic oil paint with fine transparent make-up. Her works "duplicate" the application of pictorial paints with colors that respect a well-defined and narrowed-down principle of construction. In this regard her works maintain a fascinating dialog with the European and American contemporary abstract. Ofri Marom`s brush strokes (elementary to the building of basic pictorial structural foundations) describe no preconceived notion and obey no external goals, yet rather fulfill in their own essence the very best determined of objectives along the road to meeting the delineated topic. This is a painting style somewhat parallel to the words of Irish poet Archibald Macleish:
