Motti Mizrachi was born in Tel Aviv in 1946. He studied art at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem between 1969 and 1974 and specializes in environmental sculpture. In 1976 he was awarded ther Beatrice S. Kolliner Prize for a Young Israeli Artist by the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Between 1980 and 1987 taught at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and at the Art Teachers' Training College, Ramat Hasharon. In 1987 he was awarded the most prestigous Sandberg Prize for an Israeli Artist by the Israel Museum. Over the years he has shown his work in many group and solo exhibitions in museums and galleries. His work is represented in all major museums and collections in the country.
