Prizes: 1989 Minister of Education Prize for Completion of Work; 1991 International prize, La Cite Internationale, Paris; 1994 Minister of Science and the Arts Prize. 1976-88 Lived in Israel and New York. From 1989 in Jerusalem.

Jacob Zim, Painter. b. 1920, Sosnowiec, Poland. Immigrated 1945. Studies: 1936-39 School of Applied Arts, Sosnowiec; 1945-47 Bezalel, Jerusalem. Teaching: 1962-85 French WIZO School, Tel Aviv, graphic design; 1965 founded design department at Amit School, Tel Aviv; 1966-80 Talpiot College, Tel Aviv, design and printing. Prizes: 1947 Shulman Prize for Bezalel Graduate; 1982 “Insea” Prize of Ministry of Education for contribution to art education; received many prizes from public bodies. Also designed stamps, coins and banknotes.

Janco, Marcel, Painter. b. 1895, Bucharest, Rumania. Immigrated 1941. Studies: 1915 Switzerland, architecture. Prizes: 1945-46, 1951 Dizengoff Prize; 1958 Histadrut Prize; 1967 Israel Prize for Art. 1982 Worthy of the City of Tel Aviv. 1915 Went to Switzerland and joined Hugo Bell, Jean Arp. 1916 -19 An originator of the Dada movement and participated in all its activities. Painted the famous masks in the style of African masks which were exhibited in the “Cabaret Voltaire”. Painted abstract reliefs, combining expressionism and cubism. 1921 After a short time in Paris, returned to Bucharest, worked in architecture and active in the artists’ groups. 1948 Was a founder of New Horizons Group. 1953 A founder of the Artists’ Village, Ein Hod. Died 1984.

Joel Jospe Born in Natanya, Israel in 1952, studied architecture at the Techion in Haifa. Besides being a practicing architect, Joel Jospe has also taught interior design for many years. Jospe's talent as a painter was revealed at a very young age, and over the years took several courses, including workshops with Prof. Erick Brauer at the painting academy of Vienna. He has had several one person shows and participaded in group exhibitions. Many of his works are in private collections all over the world. Jospe is at the head of the Jospe& Sherr architectural firm and is currently involved in numerous major projects such as the Science Museum of Natanya and a large shopping mall in Raanana.
